Liverpool Star Sadio Mane refused to shake Coach Jurgen Klopp after the 4-2 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford, MySportDab reports.
That was Jurgen Klopp’s first ever win at Old Trafford as Liverpool manager on Thursday night.
Mane did not start the match but came on in the 2nd half to replace Diogo Jota.
After the match, Mane refused to shake Klopp’s hand as he went straight down to the tunnel shaking his head.
Liverpool Coach Jurgen Klopp has played down the incident and said that he was yet to explain his selection to the Senegal player.
‘No, it’s not a problem,’ said Klopp.
‘I made a late decision before the game to drop him and start Diogo.
‘They are used to me explaining the decisions but there was no time. It’s all fine. Sadio was a bit angry but that’s all.’
The 4-2 Victory at Manchester United boosted Liverpool’s hopes playing in the Champions League next season.
‘We must now win our games, that was different before,’ added Klopp.
‘It is crucial when everything to qualify for the Champions League is in your own hands.’
However, Manchester United midfielder Fred was racially abused on social media after the match.
