Chelsea might be able to land a deal for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland if they play their cards well after Barcelona has been put out of the picture, MySportDab reports.
The Blues have been tipped as favorite to land the Norwegian who might be edging to the exit door on to a bigger team.
Chelsea and Barcelona are two suitors who have shown strong interest but recent update has thrown the Spanish side out of the picture.
According to Josep Maria Minguella, who is Rousaud’s aide, he said that the 20-year-old Norwegian international would join Barcelona if Rousaud landed the post as President.
Erling Haaland agent Mino Riaola was quick to debunk rumours of any meetings with anybody about a deal for his client.
Speaking to Sport1, Raiola Talked About The Move:
“Fake news. I’ve never talked to any presidential candidate of Barcelona regarding Haaland and I won’t do.
“If there will be a new president elected in January, he can call me.”
This news will be a boost to Chelsea and the rest of the big-name clubs interested in landing the youngster’s signature during the January transfer window.
We wait to see how it all goes with no club yet to bring forward a bid for the 20 year old who has been on good form.
