Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka has confirmed that teammate Bruno Fernandes has helped him improve at Old Trafford, MySportDab reports.
Wan-Bissaka has revealed that Fernandes has helped him develop more in an attacking sense.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka is regarded as one of the Premier League best defensive right-backs.
But, he needs to do more in attack for his team.
Wan-Bissaka has played 21 matches across all competitions and has no competition for his right-back position.
The 23-year-old has now revealed how much advice Fernandes has helped him improve.
“Bruno helps me on and off the pitch, and everyone,” he told United’s official website.
“He tells me before matches what I should do and which position I should get into when he’s on the ball.
“He has done it with others too, and I can see that as part of his impact on the team.
“When I scored my first goal for Manchester United, he said he did not believe I could shoot! That goal was to show him.”
Wan-Bissaka has spoke about his plans for the rest of the 2020-21 season at Old Trafford.
“I want the team to finish as high as possible in the table and, hopefully, win a few trophies,” he added.
“The match vs Watford very soon is another cup match and it’s a competition we would love to win.
“I think we’ve had a good turnaround since the poor season start. You can see our position now, how things improved.
“The results are coming good and I hope we continue like this.”
