Manchester United defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah has now rejected the club’s offer to sign a new three-year contract, MySportDab reports.

The defender is now considering his options and could leave Manchester United.

Th 22-year old who signed for United from Ajax six years ago, can talk to foreign clubs in January although United will demand a compensation fee.

According to Sky Sports, Manchester United offered him a new three-year contract but have failed to convince him to stay at the club and now he is looking at other clubs.

Premier League Clubs, and others across Europe like Marseille, AS Monaco and Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin have all shown interest in Timothy Fosu-Mensah.

Fosu-Mensah can play as a full back or a centre back and United want to sign new players in both positions by the summer.

The Netherlands man has endured a lack of playing time under Coach Ole Gunnar Solksjaer this season.

He has only played in the Premier League once, in the opening day loss against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

The other times he played for Manchester United in 2020-21 is as a substitute twice in the Champions League group stages matches.

Fosu-Mensah is one of Manchester United’s academy products and played 30 first-team matches since making his first-team debut in 2016.

The defender has been loaned over the last few years to clubs like Fulham and Crystal Palace.
