Manchester United Star Marcus Rashford has now won a special award from the BBC Sports Personality Of The Year Event, MySportDab reports.

Rashford won the Expert Panel Special award after Manchester United defeated Leeds United 6-2.

However, former teammate Romelu Lukaku sent him a congratulations message on Twitter.

In 2020, Rashford spent most of his free time trying to end child hunger in the UK.

After winning the precious award, Lukaku wrote on Twitter: “Well done @Marcus Rashford! Class on and off the pitch.”

Lukaku and Rashford spent two years together at Manchester United and still have a great relationship till today.

Rashford responded: “I Appreciate it bro, thank you.”

At the BBC Awards ceremony, Rashford spoke about his childhood struggles and thanked his mother Melanie for helping him to this point.

“Growing up as a kid It was like I started 50m behind everyone else in a long 100m race,” he said.

“It was difficult to do basic things like eat the right things or get to training on time and it was a nightmare.

“Once I got to where I was going, there was always something at the back of my mind, saying make sure you make a difference.

“I think we should support children as a country and give them the best chance in life and allow them become what they want to become.

“The award will stay in my mother’s house because during the difficult times, she brought me as a child with morals and I haven’t changed ever since.”

Marcus Rashford has been praised by so many people on and off the pitch in England.
