Goals from Ferran Torres alongside Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling helped Man City beat Marseille 3-0 to round off their UEFA Champions League group stages, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half was competitive between both sides but it failed to provide any goal from both side who had many opportunities to score.
Man City dominated quite a large amount of ball possession as they are known to always do whenever they are up against any team so far.
Marseille also created some good opportunities which could capitalize to anything good as they had much defending to do too in the half.
The first half ended with Man City 0-0 Marseille as they both headed for the first 45 minutes break with a goalless draw.
Second Half Report
The second half was much more better as three goals was scored by Manchester City’s side who had much of the ball on their feet.
Ferran Torres gave Man City the lead in the 48th minute after the ball fell through for him which he dispatched neatly inside the net to make it 1-0 for his side.
Marseille weren’t sharp enough at their back which resulted in another goal which was scored in the 77th minute after Nathan Ake teamed up with Aguero who made it 2-0.
Raheem Sterling scored in the 90th minute as the match ended with Man City 3-0 Marseille as Pep Guardiola’s side finished with a win.
