Second half goal from Curtis Jones helped Liverpool beat Ajax 1-0 in the UEFA Champions League clash between the two sides, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half was an interesting encounter between the two sides who were brilliant despite no goal coming from either of them.
Ajax who have been on goal scoring spree couldn’t break their opponent as the game progressed in the early stages.
Liverpool were dominating play but scoring was a bit difficult as most of their chances went wide without hitting the target.
The first half ended with Liverpool 0-0 Ajax as they both headed for the first half break with a goalless scoreline.
Second Half Report
The second half proved to be a different ball game as they scored finally and it made the second 45 minutes exciting.
Liverpool broke the deadlock in the 58th minute through a goal from Curtis Jones after a nice buildup play from the Reds who had things under control.
Ajax were left chasing the game trying to stage a comeback which saw them creating more chances going forward in the match.
The match ended with Liverpool taking a narrow 1-0 win against Ajax in the encounter which was not so exciting.
