Bundesliga football club Borussia Dortmund have now sacked their manager Lucien Favre after a shocking 5-1 at home against Stuttgart on Saturday, MySportDab reports.
Favre’s contract was already due to expire at the end of the season.
Now, he will be replaced by his assistant coach Edin Terzic until further notice.
According to MySportDab sources, the squad will be informed during their training session on Sunday.
The team will now remain under Terzic for their next match against Werder Bremen.
The 5-1 thrashing against Stuttgart was Dortmund’s fourth loss of the season.
They are now five points behind leaders Bayern Munich.
Also, Dortmund are fifth on the Bundesliga table with 19 points from their first 11 matches this season.
However, Dortmund have already managed to qualify for the Champions League last-16.
Despite reaching the Last-16, Favre has been under intense pressure since he was appointed manager in 2018.
He lead BVB to back-to-back second-place finishes in his first two Bundesliga seasons.
The Bundesliga club have also conceded almost twice as many as goals scored so far this season.
During Favre’s time at Dortmund, they have played 110 matches, won 68, drawn 17 and lost 25 in total.
