Manchester United Goalkeeper David de Gea will now undergo a scan on his knee after his injury in the 3-2 Southampton win on Sunday, MySportDab reports.
The Spanish man was forced off at half-time during United’s Southampton game on Sunday after a collision with the post when he tried to keep out James Ward-Prowse’s free-kick.
Dean Henderson was brought on as De Gea’s replacement in the second half for his Premier League debut as a Manchester United First team player.
Henderson may now start the important Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain at Old Trafford.
United Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: ‘He has a knock above his knee, so hopefully he’ll be okay for the Wednesday game, but we are not sure.
‘Let’s wait for the little scan results on Monday, but Dean came on and impressed.’
Manchester United are currently top of Champions League group H and will reach the knockout stages if they don’t lose against PSG.
They will secure top of the group if they win PSG on Wednesday and RB Leipzig fail to thrash Istanbul Basaksehir in Turkey.
Henderson, 23, did not go out on loan again from Manchester United this summer and stayed at Old Trafford as David De Gea’s second choice.
But Solskjaer has not changed from De Gea, and started him in all nine of Manchester United’s Premier League matches, including three of their four Champions League group matches so far.
Henderson started the Champions League match at Istanbul Basaksehir and United’s two Carabao Cup games against Luton Town and Brighton.
Now, Henderson could get his opportunity to impress in the PSG match if De Gea remains unavailable.
