Liverpool have now announced the signing of midfielder Thiago Alcantara for a £25m fee from Bayern Munich, MySportDab reports.

The Spanish midfielder was linked with a move to Anfield throughout the transfer window and had agreed personal terms months ago.

Bayern Munich demanded £27m for Thiago and Liverpool finally agreed today this week.

Liverpool have agreed to pay £5m up front with another £15m during his time in the Premier League and £5m in add-ons.

Thiago is now Liverpool’s new signing this window after the club signed left-back Kostas Tsimikas.

Thiago said to Liverpool’s official website: ‘It’s an amazing feeling. I have waited for this moment for so long and I am very happy to be here today.

‘When years fast approaching, you try to win everything possible and when you win, you want more.

‘I think Liverpool describes what I am, I want to achieve all my goals, win many trophies.

‘It also has the family feeling that I need because we love to have a close relationship with the club.

‘Yes, i believe I will have the same feeling with this club also.’

He added: ‘I must now adapt fast to the team in the situation and the games that we have to play ahead.

‘Everything is different and we started later, but it’s still football and I think we can mix everything.’

Liverpool will now try to sign another forward before the transfer window closes after missing out on Timo Werner.
