Lionel Messi has been spotted Barcelona for the first time since he demanded to leave Barcelona alongside Luis Suarez, MySportDab reports.
Messi and Suarez were seen leaving a restaurant in Barcelona.
On Tuesday, Messi shocked everyone and told Barcelona that he wanted to leave the club.
The Argentine was hoping to trigger a clause in his Barcelona contract that allows him to leave for free this summer.
Messi believes that the clause in his contract is still valid because the season did not end in May due to the coronavirus pandemic and finished in August.
However, Barcelona claim the deadline for Messi to leave in June for free has already passed.
The Catalan club have contested Messi’s argument that the deadline moved when the season had to be suspended.
Should he leave Barcelona, it would become the end of almost 20 years at the club, where he won four Champions League trophies, domestic titles and Ballon d’Or award six times.
Barcelona want to make sure Lionel Messi’s next club pay a particular fee and not lose a club Legend for free.
Manchester City remain Lionel Messi’s next likely destination.
Messi was seen a leaving the restaurant in Catalonia and followed by close friend Suarez on Wednesday.
MySportDab understands that Luis Suarez was told that he is not part of the future plans by new coach Ronald Koeman at the Camp Nou.
A video from El Chiringuito TV, shows Lionel Messi leaving a restaurant in a black car while Suarez was behind in another car.
Luis Suarez and Messi have been close friends since his transfer from Liverpool in 2014.
Meanwhile, Luis Suarez agent, Alejandro Balbi, has revealed that Messi’s next club will determine whether Suarez will stay or leave Barcelona.
‘Messi’s next move will have a key influence because they are good friends,’ Balbi told TyC Sports.
‘There is brotherly love between them, you can’t separate them, always together.’
While at Barcelona, Lionel Messi and Suarez won the La Liga, Champions League and Copa del Rey.
