Chelsea have announced the signing of left-back Ben Chilwell from Leicester City in a £50million deal, MySportDab reports.
Chilwell becomes the Chelsea’s third signing this summer and have now spent almost £130m so far.
The London club are also working to sign Kai Havertz, Malang Sarr and Thiago Silva this week.
With full-back Chilwell, Frank Lampard has added a valuable 23-year-old with lots of Premier League experience.
Chelsea will hope that the English International can provide the club a solution to the left-back position.
Speaking about the transfer, Chilwell said: “I am happy to be joining Chelsea at this great time for the club.
“I look forward to being a key part of this dynamic, young squad led by Coach Frank Lampard as we challenge next season.
“I can’t wait to start and hopefully we would play in front of the Chelsea fans very soon at Stamford Bridge.”
Chelsea’s Marina Granovskaia added: “We are very happy to have added another player to our exciting squad for next season.
“Ben has lots of top-level experience playing in the Champions League, International level and Premier League at his young age.
“We are very confident that Ben can adapt very quickly here and with the fixtures for 2020/21 very hectic, he is a great addition to the squad needed to challenge for titles.”
Despite the fact Chelsea finished last season fourth, Lampard’s team were 33 points behind Champions Liverpool and 15 behind City.
