Philippe Coutinho has agreed to reduce his salary to stay at Bayern Munich until the end of the season, MySportDab reports.

The Brazilian’s loan deal was due to expire at the end of June, as he signed a season-long deal.

But, Bayern’s season will not finish until the end of August.

This is because of the coronavirus lockdown break, with Bayern Munich set to play in the German Cup and Champions League Matches.

Now, According to Spanish Newspaper Marca, Coutinho, who earns around £200,000 a week, agreed to take a 50 per cent pay cut to stay at the Allianz Arena.

The Barcelona player and other loanees like Real Madrid’s Alvaro Odriozola and Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic have agreed to also extend their stay.

Bayern can still sign Coutinho permanently for £108m at the end of the season.

But MySportDab understands that the German Champions are unlikely to sign him permanently, and only want Manchester City winger Leroy Sane.

Barcelona stll want to sell the 28-year-old in the summer transfer window to raise more funds for the club.

Both Inter and PSG have been linked as potential destinations but Coutinho is said to have little interest in moving to Italy or France.
