FT: Fortuna 0-1 Borussia Dortmund, Super-sub Haaland Late Striker Give BVB Win (Watch Highlight)
Erling Haaland late strike ensured Dortmund cruise with a narrow 0-1 win over Fortuna away from home, MySportDab reports.
Super-sub Haaland was the hero as BVB secured a hard-fought win away from home against Fortuna Düsseldorf.
The match kicked off with BVB taking the game to the home side and pressuring their defense.
Chances were created as Thorgan Hazard was in hand to cause more problems for Fortuna’s side.
Borussia Dortmund was unable to break down the home team in the first 45 minutes but the second half provided a much-heated tussle.
Borussia Dortmund thought they had taken the lead after in the 65 minutes after Guerreiro scored.
It was later ruled out by VAR as Dortmund grew more frustrated in the game with Haaland already brought in.
The home side had opportunities to go ahead but their efforts weren’t on target to bring any troubles.
Manual Akanji and Hakimi got in the referee’s book on different occasions for fouls committed.
Luckily Erling Haaland scored the winner of the match with his head after Manuel Akanji setup the Norwegian.
The results see BVB sits second on the league table with 66 points with Bayern yet to play their game.
