Liverpool held to a 0-0 draw in a Merseyside derby which saw the Reds wasteful in goal as Mo Salah was an unused sub, MySportDab reports.
Liverpool was without star player Mohammed Salah who was benched throughout the encounter.
First Half Report:
The Toffees started the game brightly as they created the first goal scoring chance which saw Richarlison shot saved.
Matip almost scored the opener but his header was well wide with just 30 minutes gone.
The first half didn’t create much hostility as Everton was far the better side when it came to goal scoring chances.
Second Half Report:
The second 45 minutes was another dull and noncompetitive half as the Reds were sluggish.
Naby Keita almost scored after playing a 1-2 with Roberto Firmino but his volley was off target.
As the game progressed, both teams created few opportunities with finishing nothing to write home about.
Awaiting Champion Liverpool was totally off the game and they almost paid for it but Alison saved them.
Despite the presence of Sadio Mane and Robert Firmino, the Reds were totally wasteful in front of goal.
Liverpool was unable to get three points as they settled for the goalless draw with the league title almost near.
