Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has won the Ligue 1 Golden Boot after the 2019-20 season was cancelled due to CoronaVirus pandemic, MySportDab reports.

Mbappe won the award being on the same number of goals with AS Monaco star Wissam Ben Yedder.

They both scored 18 goals in the French Ligue 1 before the season came to an end.

On Thursday, the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) crowed Paris Saint-Germain’s Mbappe as the Ligue 1 top scorer on Thursday.

The France World Cup winner won the prize ahead of Ben Yedder because he did score more goals from open play.

From Ben Yedder’s 18 goals, three came from the penalty while Mbappe’s goals were all from open play.

Mbappe still has a better goals-per-game ratio, scoring 18 goals in 20 matches.

The 21-year-old has a goals-per-game ratio of 0.9 while Ben Yedder was 0.69 after scoring 18 goals in 26 matches.

Mbappe also won the French Ligue 1 Golden Boot last season after scoring 33 goals in 29 matches.

PSG were Crowned French champions last week after the Ligue 1 and 2 season were cancelled due to a government ban on all sport activities.
