Inter Milan have announced plans to sign Manchester United winger Alexis Sanchez at the end of the season, MySportDab reports.
Sanchez signed Inter on loan at the start of the season as he looked to restart his career after a difficult time endured at Old Trafford.
However, The Chile star has failed to perform at Inter, scoring only one goal and provide three assists in 15 games for Antonio Conte’s team this season.
Despite his poor form, Inter still want to sign Sanchez and are still paying him £100,000 per week.
His loan deal will expire on June 30, but with football suspended due to coronavirus, the 2019-20 season will be continued beyond June.
Inter Milan Sporting director, Piero Ausilio, has confirmed that they wish to extend his loan beyond that date.
‘We want to keep all players, including Alexis Sanchez. We have plans for him in the nexg months,’ Ausillo told Sky Sports.
‘He was injured for a long time, but he performed before that in games against Barcelona and Sampdoria. I saw Sanchez at his best seasons at Udinese and Arsenal.’
The news of Inter planning to keep Sanchez is good news for Old Trafford favorites as Manchester United want to sell him as soon as possible.
Inter Milan also confirmed that they have now extended former United player Ashley Young’s contract by one year.
Ashley Young signed from Manchester United in January and has performed very well as a wing-back in Conte’s team.
