Arsenal are ready to secure a shocking deal for Philippe Coutinho this summer, MySportDab reports.

Coutinho played over 150 games for Liverpool between 2013-2018 before leaving for £145million to Barcelona.

However, his time at the Nou Camp was not successful and he played just 52 matches for Barcelona before they loaned him out to Bayern Munich.

Although Coutinho started his life in the Bundesliga very well, his form has dropped and cannot even make the Bayern Munich Starting XI.

Bayern Munich Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed they did not activated the option to sign Coutinho permanently.

“The option has expired and we did not activate it,” he told German magazine Der Spiegel.

“We’re planning our squad for next season and we’ll see if he has a role to play or not.”

MySportDab understands Barcelona are ready to sell Coutinho for the right price and a return to the Premier League looks possibl.

According to French Newspaper Le10Sport, Arsenal Coach Mikel Arteta ‘dreams’ of signing Coutinho at the Emirates.

Due to the coronavirus crisis, Arsenal are among clubs with still struggling with financial difficulties.

However, Le10Sport claims Arsenal have made arrangements to speak with Coutinho’s agent Kia Joorabchian about a potential transfer.
