Paris Saint-Germain have announced plans to play their remaining ‘home’ Champions League Matches abroad after France banned all sporting events, MySportDab reports.

The French government announced on Tuesday that all football matches with or without fans is not allowed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This came as a difficult one with PSG still in the Champions League and UEFA are not ready to cancel the competition.

However, PSG Club President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has revealed in a statement that they intend to play in the Champions League by playing their home games abroad.

‘We respect the French Government decision,’ Nasser Al-Khelaifi said.

‘We plan to continue our progress in the Champions League with a UEFA agreement, wherever it is held.

‘If we still can’t play here in France, we will play our games abroad only if players and staffs safety are guaranteed.’

Lyon are the 2nd French club in the tournament and are yet to reveal their plans for the competition.

PSG have already reached the Champions League quarter-finals after a 3-2 win over Borussia Dortmund  before the pandemic stopped football.

MySportDab understands the French champions are determined to win the competition for the first time and will play two of their remaining games abroad in the quarter-finals and if they reach the semi-final.

PSG were top of the French Ligue 1 table and it remains certain they will be awarded the League title again.
