Manchester United Confident Of Club-record £135m Saul Niguez Signing To Replace Paul Pogba

Manchester United Chief Executive Ed Woodward is growing confident the club can sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez, MySportDab reports.

But Saul won’t come cheap and Manchester United would have to pay a shocking £135million fee in order to bring the player to Old Trafford.

Manchester United have been linked with signing Saul before, with the midfielder now a very vital player for Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid.

According to the Daily Star, Manchester United Chief Woodward is convinced he’ll sign his man when the transfer window opens in the summer.

Manchester United though are expecting Paul Pogba to leave the club, with Real Madrid and Juventus both interested the 27-year-old.

And the Red Devils see Saul as the perfect player to replace the Pogba at Old Trafford.

MySportDab understands United will listen to offers for Pogba in the region of £100million because they paid £89m for him in 2016.

And Ed Woodward is confident of spending the money of selling Pogba on Saul.

MySportDab reports the Red Devils Chiefs are willing to meet the buy-out clause in the 25-year-old’s contract over in Spain.

That’s after United sent scouts to watch him in action as Atletico Madrid knock Liverpool out of the Champions League earlier this month.

Saul has impressed alot over the years, helping Atletico become one of the best clubs in the world.

Saul made his international debut in 2016 and has played 19 matches, scoring his first goal for his country in a 2-1 win over England.

Should Manchester United pay £135m for the Atletico star, he will become their most-expensive signing of all time.

Pogba is currently United’s most expensive signing after the Red Devils paid £89m for his return from Juventus in the summer of 2016.

Saul has scored four goals in 37 matches for Atletico Madrid this season, including a goal im their Champions League last-16, first leg against Liverpool in Spain.
