The Algerian star may want to depart the Etihad Stadium for the French giants this summer, however he will only be allowed to go for the proper price.

Manchester City will not prevent Riyad Mahrez’s move to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.

The Parisians are reportedly making an attempt to lure the 29-year-old away from the reigning Premier League champions.

Having scored 9 goals and supplied 14 assists in 37 appearances throughout all competitions this term, it is understandable why the Parc des Princes giants would choose him.

Nevertheless, the Citizens have disclosed that they would no longer stand in the way of the ex- Leicester City man should he want a move, if the price is right.

According to Goa l ’ s Manchester City correspondent Jonathan Smith, Guardiola will no longer keep any player who is not inclined to stay, however, they will no longer see Mahrez leave for much less than £80 million.

“Manchester City players have been reassured that they will be playing Champions League soccer subsequent season so have no plans to begin selling players on the back of their ban,” stated Smith.

“But that won’t give up some of the uncertainty amongst players and agents and obviously Paris is a natural place for Riyad Mahrez to be linked with.

“If he decided that it was the right move for him, Pep Guardiola wouldn’t hold absolutely everyone that doesn’t want to be there, however it is hard to see City letting him go for much less than £80 million.”

Before joining the Foxes in 2014, the 2016 African Player of the Year started his profession with AAS Sarcelles, then Quimper and Le Havre.

In England, he has enjoyed a great deal success, winning two Premier Leagues, one Community Shield, two English League Cups, and one FA Cup diadem.
