Chelsea are preparing a shocking £60m bid for Bayern Munich defender David Alaba, MySportDab reports.
Chelsea Coach Frank Lampard is in search for a new left-back after leaving Marcos Alonso out of his squad over the December period.
And According to The Mirror, Lampard has lost faith in his left-back choices, with Cesar Azpilicueta moving from right-back to left-back and Reece James also just coming into the team.
But MySportDab understands Lampard is looking to add some huge experience to his youthful team, and a deal could be done this month if Bayern Munich are willing to sell.
Alaba has made 17 club appearances this season and has scored one goal and provided one assist.
The 27-year-old in 2008 joined Bayern Munich and has won 20 major trophies during this time
His current contract with the Bundesliga champions runs until June 2021.
