Keysher Fuller Spence scored in the second half as Costa Rica beat Japan 0-1 at the FIFA World Cup 2022, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half of the game was brilliant coming from both teams who did well enough in creating the opportunities but they couldn’t score a goal.
Costa Rica came into this match having already lost their opening game, they made sure it wasn’t like their first which saw them being thrashed by Spain.
Japan were in good shape coming into the game which saw them claimed three points in their opening game against all odds going on to beat Germany.
The game carried on with a lot happening but the goal didn’t happen for them despite all they did going forward and hoping something good to happen but it was all to nothing.
The first half of the match came to an end with Japan playing a 0-0 goalless draw against Costa Rica after 45 minutes of football between the both them.
Second Half Report
The second half had more coming from both teams who pushed on with a lot of work coming to ensure they were able to break the dealock.
Japan dominated play but couldn’t make anything happen from their end despite them going close on a couple of occasions which was all for nothing as the game progressed.
Costa Rica hung on well as they hit the hour mark with the scoreline still goalless and them having to deal with a lot of pressure coming from their opponent as it pushed on.
Keysher Fuller Spence scored in the 81st minute of the game to break the deadlock and gave his country a 0-1 advantage after a well taken finish which opened things up between them.
The goal scored was the only action as the match ended with Costa Rica sneaking a 0-1 victory against Japan to claim all three points after 90 minutes.
