Anthony Martial scored again as Man United beat Melbourne 1-4 in their second preseason game, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
Both teams made it count in the first 45 minutes of football which also had many opportunities coming through from both ends in the future.
Melbourne Victory opened the goal scoring very early in the 5th minute, which saw Ikonomidis making it count against the Premier League side 0-1.
Man United didn’t just sit back as they pulled themselves together fighting to get the equalizer which didn’t come immediately despite all the opportunities created.
Scott Mctominay left it late as he scored in the 43rd minute of the first half to give Manchester United the leveler they were looking for as the scoreline turned 1-1 from the goal.
Anthony Martial followed up immediately, scoring the lead in the 45th minute plus additional time, which gave the Devils the advantage they needed going on in the match.
The first half of the match ended with Melbourne 1-2 Man United as they both headed inside for the break after 45 minutes of football played between them.
Second Half Report
The second half was more similar, but this time Manchester United didn’t concede any goal as they kept things clean at the back and going forward.
Melbourne Victory was good in the match despite knowing they were down against a side who came into the game to make sure the win was theirs.
Man United had dominance, but all their opportunities resulted in them being unable to make anything happen until Marcus Rashford scored in the 78th minute to make it 1-3.
The game was already done and dusted with the last few minutes left to be played until Tahith Chong scored in the 90th minute, making it 1-4 for the Premier League side.
Man United made another win in their second preseason game beating Melbourne Victory 1-4 to continue their special preparations for the new season.
