Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek got angry for not being used against Villarreal in the Champions League, MySportDab reports.

Van De Beek looked to be in tears and the team-mates around him helped the situation.

The midfielder is frustrated at his current situation with little playing time at Manchester United and made it obvious by spitting his chewing gum down.

United came from behind in the match at Old Trafford to win 2-1 thanks to goals from Alex Telles and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Van de Beek was on the bench for the match but not being given a chance to play got him angry as Jesse Lingard and Fred were substituted instead of him.

He was then consoled by team-mates, and later  covered his face with his hand before taking out chewing gum from his mouth and throwing it away.

He threw the gum into the Manchester United technical area where Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Terry Phelan were standing.

According to reports, the Dutchman got more frustrated after being told he would not be coming on despite just warming up.

Solskjaer decided to bring on Edinson Cavani and Nemanja Matic as substitutes in search of a match winner.

Despite his frustrations, Solskjaer’s decision to bring on Jesse Lingard and Cavani paid off to help win the Champions League match at Old Trafford.

However, United played poorly mostly and the Dutchman was furious at being overlooked again.

Van de Beek has struggled to play in the first-team since arriving in a £35m transfer from Ajax last summer.
