Liverpool Injury Crisis GROWS As Andy Robertson Suffers New Hamstring Problem

Liverpool full-back Andy Robertson has missed Scotland’s game against Slovakia due to an hamstring injury, MySportDab reports.

Robertson’s injury has added to Liverpool’s defensive crisis right now.

Liverpool are now concerned about Robertson’s fitness ahead of next weekend’s match against Leicester.

Robertson is now the latest Liverpool player to suffer an injury or test positive for CoronaVirus in recent weeks.

The left-back has now joined the likes of Mo Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk, and Fabinho on the crisis list.

The Scotland man was one of the only senior defenders available unavailable his new injury.

Now, Jurgen Klopp will hope Robertson’s injury isn’t too serious.

Speaking after Scotland’s Thursday’s win against Serbia, Robertson revealed he had tweaked his hamstring during the match.

The game was decided to penalties, but the Liverpool man did not play any of the penalties.

Robertson said: “I think that was seventh time my hamstring seized up.

“Then during the second half of extra-time I had a cramp, it was my left left so I was a bit worried that it would cramp up.

“The lads who took the penalties were unbelievable.

“What a night, it’s hard to explain how I feel right now.

“There were tears everywhere and we deserved it. Forget about me, I’m only a boy that’s lucky to work alongside all of them.”

However, Andy Robertson’s injury is not as severe as Van Dijk or Gomez’s problem.

Both centre-backs are a doubt to return this season after serious injuries.

Van Dijk is already working on his recovery after an ACL injury and underwent surgery.

He is unlikely to play again this season, and there are fears he will miss the European Championships.

Due to the injuries, Klopp is expected to name a new defence against Premier League leaders Leicester next week.
