Real Madrid thrashed Barcelona in the Copa Del Rey clash 0-4 at New Camp, MySportDab reports.
Karim Benzema scored a hat-trick as his side were able to move into the next round of the Copa Del Rey with a 1-4 aggregate.
First Half Report
Both teams had it good in the first half which was cagey and evenly balanced between both of them going forward and defending.
Real Madrid dominated more of the play as they looked sharper against their opponent who weren’t too bad for themselves.
Barcelona came into the match already beaten their opponent for this game in multiple occasions leading into this encounter which was different.
They entered the 45th minutes and still couldn’t find a breakthrough which was just some wasted opportunities and some errors coming from both sides as they carried on.
Vinicius Junior scored very late in the first half to give Real Madrid a 0-1 advantage against Barcelona as they both headed inside for the 45 minutes break.
Second Half Report
The second half was a lot more entertaining for the visiting fans who surely did enjoy the game all through and the goals.
Real Madrid increased their lead in the 50th minutes of the game thanks to Karim Benzema who was assisted by Luka Modric to make the scoreline 0-2.
Barcelona were confused so badly that they hardly had anything else to offer in the match which saw them just managing to keep competing for the remaining minutes.
Karim Benzema made it his brace and the scoreline 0-3 from the penalty spot in the 58th minutes to make the game move further away from a comeback.
The France international sealed the victory with a hat trick in the 81st minutes as the match ended with Real Madrid beating Barcelona 0-4 and 1-4 in aggregate in Copa Del Rey.
