There are growing concerns about the performance of Manchester United who continue to lose games and drop points this season under Michael Carrick.
The situation isn’t improving or looking to change despite how strong the club finished last season when the former United player took over as interim manager.
Talks are already going on for a possible sack which many Manchester United fans would be open to see happen on the coming days or week.

The club recently suffered a loss in their match against Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League. Carrick recent loss has brought about some talks of him being replaced.
Following the loss, Lisandro Martinez did openly criticize the club owner for not backing the manager well enough during the summer transfer window.
There are some names which are being talked about. Recently Antonio Conte was linked to the Manchester United job after he made a comment of wanting to join a team where they have lost their identity.
Initially, Chelsea was mentioned, but things are currently looking good for them following their 5-1 victory against Bournemouth.
As Manchester United continue to struggle with results, the possibilities of a new manager talking over is currently higher than ever.
Meanwhile, those in charge at Old Trafford are still keeping their hands tied and hoping the situation gets better before being forced to make a decision.
According to Transfer News Live, they confirmed a 3-Man Shortlist is already in place and that list could be looked into in due time.
“Manchester United have Fabian Hurzeler, Julian Nagelsmann and Antonio Conte on their managerial shortlist.
“Michael Carrick could be sacked if United’s poor run continues against Leeds United this weekend.
“Christopher Vivell is pushing Nagelsmann internally, while Jason Wilcox favours Brighton boss Hurzeler.
For now Michael Carrick will continue until the club decides on moving on without him as the situation isn’t looking good anymore.
The former United player came in last season and turned things around after Ruben Amorim failed to do much with the club.

They returned to the UEFA Champions League after a strong finish during the 2025/2026 season which they did not play European football.
However, this season hasn’t work well a bit for them despite everything they have been doing, including the new signings that were made.
The situation at Manchester United remain open with a pending sack for Michael Carrick if the result fails to improve as quickly as possible.
