Manchester City could be facing a drastic punishment after being found guilty of all but one in 115 charges placed on them by the English FA.
The talks has been going on for a while with the club coming out to debunk and claim being innocent on all charges put against them.
Manchester City was charged by the Premier League in 2023 with 115 alleged breaches of financial regulations covering the period from 2009 to 2018.
Since then, an investigation has been going on with the authorities who are handling the situation.
Those in charge at City including former Manager Pep Guardiola came out to waive the talks and claimed they were innocent on all charges.
According to reports from Ben Jacobs, he confirmed the latest update saying: “The independent panel ruling on Manchester City’s 115 charges have found the club guilty on most of the charges.
“Premier League clubs were updated on the case, but Manchester City are expected to appeal.
“EPL are confident on a satisfactory conclusion but there is no guarantee the case is fully resolved imminently.
“Sanctions range from suspended punishments or fines to points deductions and expulsion from the league. And punishments can be applied while an appeal is ongoing.
Following the breakout of the news, Manchester City spokesman quickly had to come clear the air without giving full information.
A City spokesman said: “The Premier League process remains ongoing, with significant elements to be completed, and subject to strict confidentiality.
“As such Manchester City FC’s position remains consistent with the club’s statement of February 2023.
“The club has diligently respected due process for eight years on the basis that the Premier League board and executive would behave as an independent, impartial and fair-minded regulator, free from partisan influence.
More information are expected to come in with all parties doing everything possible to see things go in their way. Manchester City are expected to be hit with a strong punishment that could tarnish a lot.
