The Ballon d’Or Awards Women’s best goalkeeper nominees has been officially confirmed by the organizers today.
35-years-old Ann-Katrin Berger tops the list after an outstanding performance for both her club and Germany national team.
At her age, she is still performing at the highest level despite Chelsea Women’s seeing her as not ideal enough to continue with them.

Hannah Hampton makes the cut despite not enjoying a good 2025/2026 season with Chelsea. She was able to do well enough to earn herself the golden glove in WSL.

Spain and Barcelona’s Cata Coll is also another strong contender for this award category. Her strong performance for both club and country gives her a fighting chance.
Brazil Lorena and Manchester City’s Yamashita would also fancy their chances of winning the Ballon d’Or Award for best Women’s Goalkeeper of the year.
