Manchester United officially Unveils new signing Andrey Santos who completes a permanent move from Chelsea this summer transfer window 2026.
The 22-year-old arrives from Chelsea in a high-profile move valued at approximately £50 million, comprising an upfront payment of £48 million with an additional £2 million in performance-related add-ons.
The arrival of Santos is a calculated move by Manchester United’s leadership to fortify a midfield that has been a focal point of their summer recruitment strategy.
According to Director of Football Jason Wilcox, the club had been tracking the Brazilian’s progress closely before they eventually decided on making the move happen this summer.

Santos stood out in league data last season for his exceptional pass-completion rates and his ability to drive the ball forward, registering some of the highest progressive passing metrics among midfielders under the age of 22 in the Premier League.
For the player himself, the move represents a fresh start. Despite his clear technical ability and leadership experience, having previously captained Brazil at the youth international level, Santos found opportunities limited at Stamford Bridge.
Operating primarily in a rotational role to support the likes of Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez, he was hungry for a platform where he could command a more consistent starting role.
