Kai Havertz late penalty goal rescue Arsenal as they played a 1-1 draw against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League round 16 first leg, MySportDab reports.
It was a struggle for Mikel Arteta and his side despite finishing the League phase as number one and winner.
First Half Report

Before the gene kicked off, a lot of Arsenal fans were expecting an easy one which their team would have gone past without a fight.
However, Bayer Leverkusen had other plans as they came prepared and doing more than enough to give themselves a fighting chance going forward.
There were opportunities but none was hitting the right target which could have changed things while they hit the 45 minutes mark.
The first half was 0-0 between both teams who had so much to do. It was the home side who were much happier after the 45 minutes.
Second Half Report

Play resumed with the home team taking a 1-0 lead through Andrich who was assisted by Grimaldo in the 46th minute.
It became a complicated game for the Premier League side who had to double their efforts but nothing was happening.
Kai Havertz came to the rescue as he scored a late penalty which saw Arsenal settle for a 1-1 draw against Bayer Leverkusen in Germany.
