The 2025 FIFPRO World XI has been officially unveiled, with over 20,000 professional footballers worldwide casting their votes to recognize the standout performers in both men’s and women’s football, MySportDab Reports.
The men’s lineup, revealed on Thursday, leans heavily toward attacking flair. Manchester City’s Gianluigi Donnarumma takes the gloves behind a three-man defence featuring former Paris Saint-Germain duo Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes, alongside Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk — the only natural centre-back in the team.
In midfield, Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham retains his place from last year, joined by PSG’s Vitinha, Barcelona’s Pedri, and Chelsea’s breakout star Cole Palmer. The forward line is predictably elite: Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé, his Barcelona successor Lamine Yamal, and Real Madrid talisman Kylian Mbappé — one of just three players to repeat from the 2024 selection.
On the women’s side, Chelsea’s Hannah Hampton anchors a formidable defence that includes teammates Lucy Bronze and Millie Bright. Bronze, notably, makes history as the first player ever to feature eight times in a Women’s World XI. Arsenal’s Leah Williamson and Barcelona’s Ona Batlle complete the backline.
The midfield is dominated by Barcelona talent, with Aitana Bonmatí and Alexia Putellas joined by Moroccan star Ghizlane Chebbak, who earned her spot after a stellar season and a high-profile move to Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia.
Leading the attack are Orlando Pride’s Barbra Banda and Arsenal duo Alessia Russo and Chloe Kelly — both instrumental in the Gunners’ historic UEFA Women’s Champions League triumph last season.
