Facundo Buonanotte scored the winner as Chelsea beat Lincoln City 1-2 to qualify for EFL Carabao Cup next round, MySportDab reports.
The League One side showed quality from the kickoff which saw them creating more opportunities than their opponent before their lead.
First Half Report
It was a good work from the home team who had their game plan of pressing very hard to make sure they get something.
Chelsea had more possession and it wasn’t useful to them as their opponent was very aggressive with wanting to win the ball back.
Lincoln City did well enough make sure they caused some troubles and also had close moment of getting the lead.
They were able to take the lead thanks to Street 42nd minute goal which was assisted by Varfolomeev which made it 1-0 before the break.
Second Half Report
There was a serious sign of danger for Enzo Maresca side as they came into the second half behind a League one side.
Tyrique George scored a beautiful goal from outside the box in the 48th minutes which made sure the scoreline became 1-1.
Facundo Buonanotte scored the lead with another beautiful goal in the 50th minute which was assisted by George as things turned 1-2.
There was nothing else to do as Chelsea claimed the victory against Lincoln City which send them into the EFL Carabao Cup next round.
