FT: Real Madrid 2-1 Marseille, Kylian Mbappe Net BRACE! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Kylian Mbappe scored a brace from the penalty spot to hand Real Madrid a 2-1 victory over Marseille despite Carvajal red card, MySportDab reports.

It wasn’t an easy task for Madrid despite them dominating play which saw them already being held after 45 minutes.

First Half Report 

Both teams did enough to earn themselves and their fans something to celebration in the first 45 minutes of action.

It was a balanced game from kickoff which both teams looked sharp and eager to make something happen for themselves.

Timothy Weah gave Marseille the lead after a beautiful finish which came in the 22nd minute with assist from Mason Greenwood which made it 0-1.

Real Madrid pressed until Kylian Mbappe scored from the penalty spot in the 29th minute to level things 1-1.

The first half ended with both teams on level terms after a good 45 minutes which saw end to end action between them.

Second Half Report 

Everything was still on ground with 45 minutes of both teams looking to make sure they finished off the job.

It was a good play from the home visitors who looked better than what many expected to see from them.

Dani Carvajal was shown a red card by VAR in the 72nd minute which saw his side being reduced by one player.

Despite a red card, Kylian Mbappe was able to score from the penalty spot again which made it 2-1 in the 81st minute.

Real Madrid claimed all the three points beating Marseille 2-1 in their Champions League opening match.
