Manchester United have made a move to give JJ Gabriel a scholarship contract amid pending exit from the youth player who is attracting interests.
The player made it clear earlier that he want to leave the club over some issues which till this day hasn’t been made official.
However, report claims Manchester United did not fulfill their part of the deal with the player who has been doing well with the youth system.
The player camp had been pushing for a senior debut despite the youngster still a 15-year-old. Meanwhile, a senior debut was in motion before the player camp decided on leaving.
Manchester United has been exploring ways to keep the player following the recent developments that sees him wanting a move elsewhere.
Amid the ongoing saga, Real Madrid and Barcelona are already circling round the player and waiting to make an approach when the whole situation gets settled.
Some source confirmed JJ Gabriel could be leaving in January for a new club. The plan is to get a team that will give him assurance of playing with the senior team.
Unconfirmed rumors also claims his camp are placing their expectation on a £1M yearly contract despite the player just turning 16.
Manchester United are still trying to see if they can keep the player or make something from the exit which is looking more likely.
According to Transfer News Live, they confirmed a scholarship contract has been offered to the player.
“Manchester United have formally offered JJ Gabriel a scholarship.
“Gabriel, who turned 16 this week, requested the cancellation of his registration last month, sparking interest from Europe’s leading clubs.
“Without the offer, he could have joined a Premier League rival for free in January.
“Any English top-flight club must now agree a fee with United or have compensation determined by a tribunal.
“The forward is considered unlikely to stay at Old Trafford and could leave for as little as £350,000.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are currently the top two clubs pushing to make a move happen as soon as they can make their approach.
Other Premier League teams remain in the picture with the likes of Chelsea also hoping they can land a move for the highly rated young player.
JJ Gabriel won’t be staying with Manchester United has his camp already made their decision which won’t be changing anytime soon despite the scholarship that was offered to the player.
