Roberto de Zerbi has come out to confirm final decision concerning Richarlison situation with the club after failed transfer move.
The Brazilian was expected to leave the club earlier, but both materialized despite multiple links including one to return to Brazil.
He was removed from the Premier League team after the club made it clear he wasn’t part of their plan moving forward.
It was decided that an exit would be the best for Richarlison who was also keen on making something happen during the summer window.
However, nothing worked out despite all the talks which were expected to see him sign for a new team.
The transfer window is currently shut and things aren’t looking good with De Zerbi coming out to confirm the player won’t be involved with the team.
“Richarlison, you already know everything and nothing changes for the Carabao (League) Cup or the Premier League. The situation is the same,” he said.
The Tottenham manager isn’t backing down despite how looks like a critical situation with the club poor form despite all the signings they made.
“What I have done at the beginning of this season has been to speak with him and to propose an extension of the contract,” he said. “If he said, ‘No, thank you,’ I finished my job.
“I stay within the club. It’s the coach and the club together. At the start of this season I spoke to him many times to convince him to stay and he didn’t want to.
“I can’t go every day to pray for him to stay.
The current situation isn’t favorable to Richarlison who is expected not to play any part with the as things stand with the manager.
“Richarlison will not play, even if he’s available. Not even in the Carabao Cup, no.”
Roberto de Zerbi has made it clear that the player won’t be playing any part even if he is available for the team as the season progresses.
