Goals from Guedes and Bruno Fernandes was enough to earn Portugal a 2-1 victory against Chile in their friendly match for World Cup.

Despite trailing by two, the Chilean side refused to capitulate. Their persistence in the final third eventually broke through in the dying moments of the match.
Deep into stoppage time of 90+1 minutes, substitute Lucas Cepeda hammered home a goal to reduce the deficit to 2–1 giving his side something to celebrate.
While the strike proved to be a mere consolation, it was a testament to the fighting spirit of a Chilean team currently in a period of transition and rebuilding.

For Portugal, this friendly was a successful dress rehearsal. While the red card to Leão was an unwelcome development, the team demonstrated clinical efficiency in the second half and showcased the depth of their squad.
Roberto MartÃnez will be pleased with the fluidity of his attacking transitions and the defensive stability maintained by Rúben Dias and the backline throughout the majority of the contest.
​Portugal now looks toward their final preparation fixture against Nigeria on June 10, which will serve as the last chance for the squad to sharpen their chemistry before their World Cup opener against the DR Congo on June 17.
