The Premier League officially announced the winners for the April 2026 monthly awards with Pep Guardiola and others snatching their award for a wonderful month.

Contents
  • Barclays Manager of the Month: Pep Guardiola
  • EA SPORTS Player of the Month: Morgan Gibbs-White
  • Guinness Goal of the Month: Kaoru Mitoma
  • Coca-Cola Save of the Month: Karl Darlow

The month’s accolades recognized a blend of legendary managerial consistency and breakthrough individual performances as the season enters its final lap.

From Manchester City’s tactical masterclass to Nottingham Forest’s survival surge, here are the stars who defined the penultimate month of the 2025/26 campaign.

Barclays Manager of the Month: Pep Guardiola

Manchester City’s boss has been named the Premier League Manager of the Month for April 2026. This marks the 13th time the Catalan has received the honor, further cementing his place among the coaching elite.

Guardiola led City to a flawless record in April, securing three wins from three matches. The most pivotal moment of their month came in a 2-1 victory over league leaders Arsenal, a result that shifted the momentum of the title race.

City also showcased defensive solidity and offensive flair with a 3-0 win against Chelsea and a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Burnley.

Guardiola saw off stiff competition from Nuno Espírito Santo, Daniel Farke, and Fabian Hürzeler to claim the trophy.

EA SPORTS Player of the Month: Morgan Gibbs-White

In a career-defining month, Nottingham Forest captain Morgan Gibbs-White has secured his first EA SPORTS Player of the Month award.

Gibbs-White was the heartbeat of a Forest side fighting for survival, contributing four goals and one assist in just three games.

His standout performance came against Burnley, where he netted a stunning 15-minute hat-trick to inspire a 4-1 comeback victory.

He followed that up with a goal and an assist in a dominant 5-0 win over Sunderland which was another of his masterclass.

His contributions helped Vitor Pereira’s side move six points clear of the relegation zone, effectively securing their top-flight status.

Guinness Goal of the Month: Kaoru Mitoma

The Guinness Goal of the Month award went to Brighton & Hove Albion’s Kaoru Mitoma, who has been flying high.

The Japanese international, known for his technical elegance, produced a moment of individual brilliance that captivated fans and judges alike.

Mitoma’s strike not only secured the points for the Seagulls but also equaled a record for the most monthly goal awards won by a single player in recent years.

Coca-Cola Save of the Month: Karl Darlow

Leeds United’s Karl Darlow took home the Coca-Cola Save of the Month award for a reflex save that defied logic.

During Leeds’ 3-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers, Darlow tipped a powerful, point-blank header from Ladislav Krejčí over the crossbar.

The save was instrumental in preserving a clean sheet and vital points for Daniel Farke’s squad as they climbed to 14th in the table.

The Premier League season is coming to an end with all teams are doing everything possible to ensure they finish good.
