Mohamed Salah was on target as Egypt claimed a 1-0 victory against South Africa with a red, MySportDab reports.
The Pharaohs claimed three points despite having to play most of the match with one player down due to a red card.
First Half Report
It was another game which saw two giants of African football square up against each other in their second game for the AFCON 2025.
They both started well with enough firepower which saw them began creating opportunities on goal to try and take the lead.
There was nothing that happened until Mohamed Salah scored from the penalty spot in the 45th minute which made things 1-0.
Hany was shown a second yellow which resulted in a red before the first half came to an end between both teams.
Second Half Report
Action resumed with the Bafana Bafana expected to do more from their end knowing how things were in their advantage.
The game continued with the Egyptians already setting up a good system to keep off pressure they were expected to face.
Egypt ended the match with a 1-0 victory against South Africa which book their place for the next round of the AFCON 2026 with six points.
