Thomas Tuchel Confirms One of Kane, Foden, Or Bellingham To Miss 2026 World Cup

Thomas Tuchel has dropped a bombshell, teasing a possible big-name omission from his England 2026 World Cup squad, MySportDab reports.

The former Chelsea, PSG, and Bayern Munich manager has gotten off to an impressive start to his rein with the Three Lions.

He has led the team to six consecutive win in six Group k 2026 World Cup qualifiers. This has seen the 2024 Euro finalists rise to the top of the standings and are in pole position to secure the group’s direct slot to the 2026 World Cup.

However, some key names may likely be missing for the team in the tournament in the States next year.

Speaking ahead of the team’s double-header World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania in the November international break, Tuchel confirmed either of Harry Kane of Bayern Munich, Jude Bellingham of Real Madrid,  or Phil Foden of Manchester City, will be out of his 2026 World Cup squad.

According to him, he holds the trio in high esteem given their superb qualities, but the challenge is that all three can’t fit into his tactical plan and structure.

“They (Kane, Bellingham, and Foden) are very good players. But I am not a type that will play players out of position. All three will not fit into the structure we are building for the World Cup,” he said in clear tones.

Notably,  Thomas Tuchel’s list for the November international break fixtures could be seen as a prelude to his possible squad for the 2026 World Cup.

Kane, Bellingham, and Foden have all made the squad. However, we may not have one of these three players in the team in the final list.

As things stand, Foden is the most likely name to be axed as Kane’s place in the attack is non-negotiable while Bellingham is likely to be preferred in the No. 10 role than Foden.
