Virgil van Dijk was on target as Netherlands thrashed Finland 4-0 in their World Cup qualifiers, MySportDab reports.
Memphis Depay was also amongst the goal scorers for the Dutch national team who cruised to a good victory.
First Half Report
It was a great game between both teams who had so much to play for which was making sure they claimed maximum points.
Netherlands broke the deadlock in the 8th minute after Memphis Depay setup Malen who finished off neatly and made sure it was 1-0.
Memphis Depay setup Virgil van Dijk who beautifully tucked it home in the 17th minute to make sure it was 2-0.
Depay was able to convert from the penalty spot in the 38th minute which made sure he increased things to 3-0.
The first half concluded with a 3-0 scoreline with more left to be played between both teams who had different outcomes.
Second Half Report
The match wasn’t done as there was more to play between both teams who needed to make sure they made it happen.
However, for the home side, it was a done deal as they were still dominant and added another goal in the 84th minutes through Cody Gakpo.
Xavi Simons made the assists as Netherlands ended the game with a 4-0 result against Finland after 90 minute of action.
