Manchester United Issue Ultimatum to Antony as Transfer Deadlock Lingers

Manchester United have issued an ultimatum to out-of-favour winger Antony as they step up their move to get rid of the Brazilian forward, MySportDab reports.

The 25-year-old joined Manchester United from Ajax for a fee of €95 million and has failed to live up to the billing. He has scored just 12 goals and provided five assists in 96 matches across all competitions.

Following his dwindling fortunes at the Old Trafford club, the Brazilian forward joined Real Betis on loan in the January transfer window.

He won the hearts of the Real Betis fans, scoring nine times and providing five assists in 26 matches across all competitions. He also led the team to the UEFA Europa Conference League final where they lost to Chelsea.

With three years left on his Man United contract, Real Betis are keen to re-sign the Brazilian to their ranks but lack the financial capacity to do so.

The Los Verdiblancos have approached the Red Devils for another loan move for the forward but Manchester United are looking for an outright sale.

According to close sources, Real Betis want to wait for a late loan move, but United are pushing the winger to decide his future now or face six months in the stands.

They want him to accept a €30m to €40m this week or be excluded from the team until the next transfer window in January.

Elsewhere, United are also hopeful of parting ways with Tyrell Malacia and Alejandro Garnacho who have fallen down the pecking order in new manager Ruben Amorim’s squad.
