Barcelona have sealed the m deal with Manchester United for out-of-favour forward Marcus Rashford, MySportDab reports.
The reigning La Liga champions have been on the trail of the 26-year-old as the look to bolster their attacking ranks for next season.
Rashford spent last season on a short-term loan to Aston Villa following his dwindling fortunes at Old Trafford under new manager Ruben Amorim.
He was released by the Villains at the expiration of his loan contract despite having a buyout clause attached to the deal.
Meanwhile, the England international remained in Amorim’s chopping block in the United squad alongside Tyrell Malacia and Antony, who were all axed from the first-team.
Hence, he needed a new challenge away from United to reawaken his career. Top clubs in Europe showed interest in his services, but he only wanted Barcelona, per close sources.
According to Fabrice Romano, Barcelona have now sealed the deal with Manchester United to sign him on loan for next season.
Details of the agreement reveal Rashford will take a pay cut of up 15% with Barcelona covering all his salary without contribution from Manchester United.
The Catalan giants are hence expected to fork out about €14m throughout his loan spell to cover his wages.
Additionally, a buyout option has been attached to the deal and this could be triggered for as low as €30m should he impress on his loan shift.
It is the second time Rashy will be plying his trade away from Manchester United on loan and could possibly be his last chapter with the Red Devils as things stand.
