Juventus kicked of their FIFA Club World Cup campaign with a resounding victory over United Arabs Emirate club Al-Ain, MySportDab reports.
It was a game of clear dominance with the Serie A giants leaving no stone untouched as they traded tackles with the Abou Dhabi-based side.
They wielded over 65% of the possession, fired 17 shots with seven of target, five of which rippled the back of the net to secure victory for the Thiago Motta-led side.
The Turin-based outfit were quick to convert their dominant and ascendant sail in the game into a goal. Randal Kolo Muani opened the scoring for the team just 11 minutes into proceedings.
And that was just the beginning of what will be one of the biggest wins in the opening week of the tournament after Bayern’s 10-0 demolition of Auckland City.
10 minutes after Kolo Muani’s strike, Fabio Concecaio doubled the lead for the Old Ladies but the goal rush wasn’t over yet.
Kenan Yildiz got his name on the score sheet for Juve in the first half as well. The German-born Turkey international scored exactly 10 minutes after Fabio Concecaio’s goal to make it 3-0.
In the final touch of the ball before the break, Kolo Muani made it a commanding 4-0 lead for the team, scoring his second of the night to cap an impressive individual first-half performance.
The second half didn’t fell off the trajectory as Juventus continued on their ascendant run going forward with Al-Ain doing little to buck the opponents’ dominance
13 minutes into the restart, Conceicao also got his brace and wrapped up the goal rush with the team’s final and last goal of the match. It ended with a deserved 5-0 victory for Juventus who will hope to continue on winning ways when they take Wydad Casablanca in their next fixure.
