The 2025 Summer Transfer window officially flung open on June 1, 2025. As expected, the race for reinforcements for the next campaign had long begun.

Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid
Trent Alexander-Arnold’s move to Real Madrid remains the biggest transfer move in the window so far.
Real Madrid have been on the trail of the English right-back and finally secured his services this summer for free. The England defender has penned down a four-year contract with the La Liga giants till 2029.
Jeremy Frimpong to Liverpool
Liverpool had already buckled up for Trent Alexander-Arnold’s exit with the former Bayer Leverkusen defender on the radar.
The Reds sealed a move for the right-back for just €30million to be paid off as instalments in three years. He has been tied to a five-year contract till 2030 and is considered a key replacement for Trent.
Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid
Dean Huijsen is also among our biggest transfer signings in the first week of the 2025 summer transfer window.
Real Madrid added the former Bournemouth and Spanish defender to their options at the back after Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Dean Huijsen plays as a center-back and is expected to be a key part of the team’s defence revamp. He has signed a five-year contract till 2030 joining for €50million (his release clause)
Matheus Cunha to Manchester United 
Matheus Cunha is another big transfer signing in the first week of the January transfer window. The Wolves attacking sensation joins United on a five-year contract till 2030 for £60million.
The Red Devils were able to broker a deal with Wolves for the player, agreeing to pay his transfer fee over five seasons.
He has been tipped to play a big role in United’s new manager Ruben Amorim’s squad for next season.
Martin Zubimendi to Arsenal
Arsenal aren’t left behind in the early raids. The Gunners have poached Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad.
Zubimendi is expected to lead the charge in Arsenal’s midfield revamp under Arteta following the exit of Jorginho.
Liam Delap to Chelsea
Chelsea have made significant progress in the just-concluded season. The UEFA Conference League title and a fourth-place finish to secure Champions League football next season attest to their rollercoaster domestic and European run.
However, they aren’t done with reinforcements, especially on the attack. Manchester City prodigy and former Ipswich forward Liam Delap has joined their ranks for €30million.
Other top transfers completed in the first week of the 2025 summer transfer window
Leading the list of other big additions to clubs is youngster Mohamadu Sangare. Manchester City signed the 18-year-old from PSG as a free agent.
Jonathan Tah is set for a new chapter in the Bundesliga. The former Bayer Leverkusen sensation has now pit tent with Bayern Munich, signing a four-year contract as a free agent. Below are others:

- Everton activated €15m buy option clause for Charly Alcaraz from Flamengo
