Nottingham Forest sensation Chris Wood has won the Premier League player of the month for October, MySportDab reports.

The New Zealand forward was on the top of his game with the Tricky Trees. He played a crucial role, scoring in all the matches for Nottingham Forest in the month.

Breaking down his performances in the month, Chris Wood was on target for Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge in the first Premier League match in the month.

He scored in the 49th minute for the away side to race them into the lead before Chelsea leveled proceedings through Noni Madueke in the 57th minute.

His goal saw Nottingham Forest earned a vital point away from home against the high-flying Chelsea side.

In the club’s second match in the month against Crystal Palace on October 21, Chris was again on target, scoring the only goal as the team defeated Palace at City Ground.

His goal made all the difference as they ran out with a deserved 1-0 win to clinch all three points and continue their fairy tale rise under Espirito Santos.

In his last match in the month, Chris Wood was as on target again in his third consecutive match against Leicester City on Friday, October 25.

After Jamie Vardy scored in the 22rd minute to cancel out Yates 16th minute lead for Forest, Chris Wood scored a second-half double in the 47th and 60th minute to seal a dramatic 3-1 victory for Nottingham Forest.

He is now the first Nottingham Forest player to win the Premier League Player of the Month, per Premier League.

The brace saw the 31-year-old ramped his tally for the month to four goals in three matches with his overall tally this season reaching 8 goals in 10 games. Watch His Highlights on Twitter Here.
