Ruud van Nistelrooy made it his first victory as Manchester United thrashed Leicester City 5-2 in the Carabao Cup, MySportDab reports.
Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro scored a brace each in the match which saw them putting up solid performance under their new boss.
It was a great game which comes after Erik Ten Hag sacking as the team would look to rebuild once again.

It was a high-energy League Cup match at Old Trafford which Manchester United triumphed over Leicester City 5-2.
It marked an impressive start for Ruud van Nistelrooy as United’s interim manager who is expected to carry on for a while.
Van Nistelrooy stepped in after Erik ten Hag’s departure, energizing the team and the home crowd with an aggressive approach.
Casemiro opened the scoring early with a powerful long-range shot, setting the tone for the game which was 1-0 in the 15th minute.
Soon after, Alejandro Garnacho doubled United’s lead, finishing off a cross from Diogo Dalot ensuring it was 2-0 in the 28th minute.
Leicester fought back with a goal from Bilal El Khannouss, reducing the gap briefly making sure it was 2-1 in the 33rd minute.
However, United quickly restored their two-goal advantage as Bruno Fernandes converted a free kick that deflected past Leicester’s goalkeeper in the 36th minute.
Before halftime, Casemiro netted again from a rebound, only for Conor Coady of Leicester to respond, making it 4-2 by the break.
In the second half, Fernandes completed his brace after capitalizing on a defensive mistake, solidifying United’s path to victory in the 59th minute.
The win did not only lifted United into the League Cup quarterfinals but also showcased the attacking spark Van Nistelrooy brought to the team.
Manchester United 5-2 victory against Leicester City could cool off things for now as the interim manager seems to know what he is doing.
