Arsenal pulled a late transfer shocker in the final minutes of the transfer window, snapping top-rated English winger Raheem Sterling, at the stroke of the window, MySportDab reports.

Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League clash against Brighton, Mikel Arteta, debunked reports linking Arsenal to Raheem Sterling. However, it was understood the club were proceeding fast on a move for the player.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea offered Raheem Sterling to London club in their attempt to offload the player before the transfer window closes.

Now, Arsenal have completed the signing of the prolific winger in a shock deadline-day swoop. The Gunners announced the signing of Sterling with a dramatic and thrilling video featuring the prolific English forward, who proclaimed his best is yet to be seen. Watch Video On Twitter

Details of Arsenal’s deal with Chelsea reveal the club is not signing the player permanently but on a season-long loan deal.

Sterling will be expected back at Chelsea at the end of the current campaign with Arsenal but his future still lies away from Stamford Bridge under the dispensation of new Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca.

He still has three years left on his Chelsea contract but is not likely to run out the contract with the Blues having fell down the pecking order. Chelsea wanted a permanent exit solution for him before settling for the loan deal due to lack offers.

While terms of payment of his £350,000 weekly wages with Arsenal have yet to be disclosed, it is understood the club will take a breather from the astronomical high wage at least for a year while looking for permanent transfer solution when the loan deal expires.

Sterling has now played for some of the biggest clubs in England with Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, and now Arsenal making the list.
