Germany made light work of Scotland 5-1 in their opening game of the Euro 2024 Championship, MySportDab reports.
It was an excellent opening game for the Euro 2024 which saw the Germans putting out some exceptional display.
Florian Wirtz was among the goal scorers who made sure he continued his impressive form following the conclusion of the 2023/24 season.

The game was well executed from kickoff by the Germans who were well organized throughout the encounter.
Germany wasted no time in taking the lead after Joshua Kimmich set up Florian Wirtz who was able to smash it home in the 10th minute making it 1-0.
Scotland failed to put themselves in check as another goal followed in the 19th minute through Jamal Musiala which was assisted by Kai Havertz to make it 2-0.
Things became worse for the Scottish national team after Ryan Porteous was shown a red card in the 44th minute which saw Kai Havertz score from the penalty spot to make it 3-0.
Germany already had the job done after 45 minutes of action which saw them staying in front with a 3-0 lead against Scotland.
More action came to play in the second half which was still dominated by the home side who had all the control going forward.
Scotland sank further behind after a wonderful from Niclas Fuellkrug which came in the 68th minute to ensure things became 4-0.
Niclas Fuellkrug scored another for Germany in the 76th minute but unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be as VAR ruled it out.
The game carried on with Antonio Rudiger conceding an own-goal in the 87th minute which brought things between them to 4-1 going forward.
It wasn’t over as Emre Can scored a stunner in the additional time with Thomas Muller assiting to ensure things became 5-1.
Germany ended the match with a massive 5-1 victory against Scotland in what would go down as a memorable opening match at the Euros tournament.
